Emily Zubieta

A proud Michigan native, Dr. Em Zubieta always had a deep love for animals of all shapes and sizes. After graduating from University of Michigan (Go Blue!), Dr. Z earned their doctorate degree from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Furthering their education, Dr. Z completed an intensive training program in emergency small animal medicine and additional training in pet dentistry, urgent, and wellness care. 

After working as an Emergency Veterinarian for dogs, cats, and exotic pets, Dr. Z joined the team at Animal Clinic at New Lenox and is excited to create lasting relationships with the community. Dr. Z is passionate about providing comprehensive care to all pets from healthy annual visits to complex interventions and surgical procedures. In their free time, Dr. Z enjoys crafting, rock climbing, and time in nature. She has loved sharing her home with dogs, birds, and a ferret, and is now the proud parent of two cats and a California King snake! Dr. Z approaches all animals with compassion, using fear-free techniques to decrease your pet’s stress in the clinic. Their treatment philosophy prioritizes open and collaborative conversation with pet owners to help you make confident, informed decisions for your beloved companions. She looks forward to seeing you and your pet at your next visit!
